A comfy Sunday, rainy afternoon. I settled onto the loveseat in front of the fire my sweetheart built on this wintry day. Knowing him as I do, I suspect he was thinking of me, gifting me with thoughtfulness of a roaring, toasty fire to curl up in front of. Which I did -- with a glass of wine and new book, "Super Acheiver Mindsets," by Berny Dorhmann. Berny Dorhmann isn't the best writer. I say that without much concern, because the passion, commitment and underlying faith with which he wrote this book comes pouring through, keeping my attention, raising my...
In the study of business marketing, one of the first things you learn is to identify your customers’ pain – and then how to lead them into that pain till it intensifies. Then you learn how to show them that you have the solution to ending their pain. This cycle, I believe, is fast becoming an out-moded paradigm. At least in certain (as yet small) circles. People from many of the circles she moved in came together to honor the life she lived. We visited the altar with her ashes, looked at pictures, shared stories, hugged her partner who now knows the initiation of being widowed. What I did not say to anyone yesterday was that Nancy's life, in her final days, inspired me to step up with even greater commitment and courage...
Years ago I had the exhilarating experience of flying on a trapeze. No, I won't be joining Cirque du Soliel this life time. Although, I've been thinking about it and telling this story recently, and thought I'd use my high-flying lessons to demonstrate a way you can set your Soul Desire in motion. This is what I discovered from our high-flying friends: When you stand on the edge, the very edge of the platform, trapeze gripped firmly with both hands, You lean out into the space. Your body is strong and supple. You look in the direction you want to...
